Following years of eager anticipation, DIYAR, a landmark cultural and musical event presented by Tar Production, officially launches its world tour this November across Canada.
The project unites three towering luminaries of Iranian music across generations: the legendary voice of Shahram Nazeri; Kaykhosro Pournazeri, Grand Master of the tanbur; and acclaimed composer Tahmoures Pournazeri.
A Confluence of Heritage, Mysticism, and Modernity
More than a conventional concert, Diyar is a dynamic dialogue of memory, discovery, and intergenerational mastery. Building on the acclaimed reception of “Amoo Nowruz,” this tour marks the first time Shahram Nazeri performs a new repertoire composed specifically for him by Tahmoures Pournazeri.
Joined by an international ensemble of musicians and vocalists, the performance weaves together:
- Contemporary Iranian compositions with modern arrangements
- The sacred, mystical heritage of the tanbur
- The rhythmic momentum and lyrical energy of Kurdish traditions
All concerts will be performed in both Persian and Kurdish.
